Built to meet rigorous quality standards, it ensures reliable, consistent performance for efficient water management.
Generally, angle valves are needed for the following places in the home:
1) The cold water angle stop valve on the toilet water nozzle, wash basin and, wash basin on the nozzle respectively need cold and hot angle stop valves
2) The sump on the sink needs a cold and a hot valve, and the water heater on the water nozzle needs two cold valves.
An angle valve has a 90-degree inlet and outlet port used to manage or close the drift of a fluid in a pipe. Also, it is called a stop valve as a regulating device for particular industries such as plumbing and residential industries.
Most angle valve has a twist or oval knob or handle. They are commonly used in places like public places to give the solution if there is a danger of stealing or theft. It can shut off faster than an ordinary valve in case of an emergency.
1. Valve Seat: valve seat is an essential component of angle valves. During its inspection, you should check that the valve seating has no corrosion or rust. The valve seat must be doing well to make the angle valve function. Any problem in the valve seat can create leakage.
2. Seal: We cannot deny the significance of seals in blocking fluid passage. It should be replaced every time you rebuild the valve. You should check that the seal is well fixed and secured for inspection into its sealing body groove. You should do it carefully. Because if it is loose, water can easily make its way out. Etch seals should be installed by facing them towards the upside. Facing downward can harm the etch but will not affect valve functionality.
The seal should be clean and free from any dirt. Make sure there aren’t any cuts or cracks in the seal body. If there is any such thing, replace it at once.
1. Seal Disc: The Seal disc ensures the durability of the seal performance. It should be free from scratches and smooth in appearance. The seat face should not have any dirt, dust, or debris. If any such thing is present, remove it before applying a seal inside the valve.
2. Stem: The stem is responsible for holding all the components of the angle valve in place. When you remove the stem for inspection, examine the threads along it. If you find any dings or wear, check them critically. As long as the wrenching surfaces are square, the stem has no problem. But the rounded surface needs to be changed.
Make sure the threads are lubricated and clean. You can pass a small thread across the surface to remove waste. Replace the stem in case of cracks or leakages. The stem area joining the body should be secure and scratch-free.
1. Packing Screw: The threads of the packing screw should be fine and sharp. They should be free from scratches and defects. The packing screw is responsible for inserting the screw into the body.
2. Body: Body inspection is essential for the overall performance of angle valves. Check for rust or corrosion in the seating area of the body. Remove the rust, if possible. Yet, if you cannot do it, discard the body and apply a new one.
3.Plug: The condition of the plug is essential to maintain a regular flow of fluid across the valve. The plug should not have any crossed thread. It should be in good working condition. You can also use a die to clean the plug. The thread gauge should not be oversized. If it is, replace the plug with a tolerance plug.
4. Outlet Flange: The outlet flange also plays a crucial time. Angel valves having outlet flanges should be adequately inspected. There should be no scars, and threads should not be crossed around. The structure should be in good condition. You should measure the Gauge size and threads if they are oversized. You can buy a new outlet flange to avoid any water leakage in such a case.
